Currently, I am working on my Doctorate of Ministry Degree in Church Revitalization from Liberty University. As a part of the program, I have selected Blogging as a micro-project that will help with the process of Revitalization. The plan is to share insights and discoveries once a week as we seek the Lord’s will for the future of West Lynchburg.
I have titled the blog “Another day… Another opportunity…” For over 3 decades, this phrase has been my signature sign-off for every email and letter. The thought behind this phrase is that if God has provided another day of life, either for an individual’s life or the life of an organization or church, then the opportunity must not be wasted. The opportunity is to advance and grow in some area.
For church revitalization to occur, the congregation must look forward to new opportunities rather than exclusively reminisce of days already gone.

Pastor Chris, we have accessed and read all 5 of your blogs. Tremendous informational material to help our church “become all things to all people, whereby we might by all means save some.” 1 Cor 9:19
We are of that older group, (70+) but have felt keenly aware of the need for mission outreach, especially in the surrounding community.
Do not be discouraged, Pastor. God is working in WILLING hearts and minds in this, despite the challenges of the pandemic over the past year and a half.
